Stoneman Glaciara is a Mountain Bike loop in the Aletsch region in canton of Wallis.
Alex hit the trails at 6.10am. The first climb is a 1700m climb of mostly 12% grading. The second major climb to Bellwald was not as serious, but each 100m now felt quite serious; this one was almost 400m. The third one to Fiescheralp was amost 1200m while the last one was 350m with some major bike pushing. On top at Moosfluh Beatrice joined me. After a short break we took the last downhill section to the starting point at Mörel, at the base of Riederalp and Bettmeralp.
It resulted a 4747m total elevation, and a total 130km distance with an elapsed time of 13h 38min.
