Summer holidays 2018, 17 July to 2 August:
We stayed a few days in Olso and drove with the rental car to the Preikestolen near Stavanger. After driving back to Oslo we spent another day in Oslo and took the plane to the Lofoten at 68 degree latitude. It never got dark, in fact it was basically bright all night long… But temperature wise there was quite a spectrum on the Lofoten Islands from 14C to 29C. This warmth - well heat - was unexpected. We did a number of hikes with truly awesome views. We mostly started at around 6pm and stayed at the top until 10pm; the sunlight by that time produced fantastic perspectives. At the end of the trip we took an adventure boat’s trip when we got to know that Orcas are in the fjord; the same night we then rented a motor-boat and did our own whale watching, below you find the link of the video.
